Why I Love Life Coaching

ree

I am passionate about transformation. I love that I get to walk with my clients on a road to re-covering who they truly are and watch them empower and re-claim their lives.

Five years ago I had no idea what coaching was; aside from little league and being a soccer mom. And then I found myself in the position of changing gears and jobs.

Where to start?

A good friend guided me to a career coach. Together we were able to look at my fears, skills, and what I bring to the table. I was able to get clear on what career path made sense to me.

In the end, what I really wanted to do was what she was doing – collaborating with her clients, listening to her clients dreams and goals, and witnessing their transformation. Helping people move from stuck to unstuck – understanding what is holding them back and watching them set themselves free to be who they truly are.

My desire to work with others was confirmed when I listened to a podcast by Martha Beck – world renowned coach. My entire body responded with a mighty, “YES, this is exactly what I want to do”!

Since that day I dove in, got certified, started my business, and now work with amazingly committed individuals.

I love that everyday I get to wake up and witness my clients transformation, and what a gift they are to me and the world. I get to be present with where they are right now and help them unpack and deal with old stories that are keeping them stuck in fear and resistance.

To watch my clients’ eyes go wide with amazement when they connect the dots and gain some new insight is the cherry on the top for me. I love how they embrace their new knowledge and start making choices to do life differently.

It’s not always a smooth transition from old behaviours to new habits, and yet, once they start to see the positive impact on their lives, they become unstoppable.

It comes down to changing our mindset. When we’re stuck we automatically look outside ourselves and generally blame THEM and THAT. We need to make sense of WHY this is happening, and it’s familiar to blame everyone and everything else.

When we stop, notice, and get curious about what is really going on and what we’re internally saying about THEM, THAT, and OURSELVES, we can start to disassemble and detach from some old stories and fears we’ve been holding onto to keep ourselves “safe”.

It takes courage to sit, look and be honest about how we’re interpreting our stories, and when we tap into that, we empower ourselves to heal and transform.

Transformation is possible and I get to be present to it every day. Come join me and start your own life-changing journey.
